Success Stories – Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan

Over the past year, the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan has reached thousands of households through an awareness campaign, presented the ABCs of Dementia to hundreds of registrants, shared resources with many community organizations, and learned key lessons along the way. Dementia Knowledge Survey Report

The project team has completed a report on the Dementia Knowledge Survey using data collected from September 28 to October 5, 2020. The report includes a summary of findings, as well as graphs presenting more detail on the key findings with information broken down by subgroups of age, gender and community size for the following survey questions:

– Self-Rated Knowledge of Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
– Living Well with Dementia- Confident in Interactions
– Worried about Developing Alzheimer’s disease or Dementia
– Sharing a Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or Dementia

SPRC Lunch & Learn

This presentation provides an overview on the Interventions to Enhance Social Inclusion of Older Adults with Dementia project which has the overall objective of improving the lives of older adults, and their care partners, living with dementia in small cities and rural communities. This project brings together Collaborating Organizations to work together using a Collective Impact model. Selected organizations from different sectors will work together based on their shared vision. Collective Impact is the central focus of this project, it’s WHAT we do!

Flyer Delivery!

A project flyer was mailed to every household in Yorkton and surrounding rural communities last month, reaching over 20,000 residents. Designed by the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, this flyer provides more information about our project and the organizations involved.
